I had my first job in Professional Theatre at 18 playing a friendly alien in a touring children's theatre company based in Greater Manchester, in a show called "The Robot from Gorf" !
After completing my degree in Drama & Theatre Studies at the University of Kent with a specialisation in Direction, I spent 20 years as a Community Drama Practitioner, Actor, Director and Visual Artist as well as a professional Lighting Technician and Studio Manager.
My son was born in 2001 and I moved into Educational Drama Facilitation setting up my own company called "SpeakOut" using drama strategies such as Forum, to empower participants and develop tools for self expression and self confidence.
I also toured as an Award Winning Slam Poet and staging and hosting Poetry Slams all over the country as well compering many Cabaret and Live Performance Spaces.
In 2011 I graduated from Oxford Brookes with a Masters' PGCE in Androgogy.
For the last 10 years I have worked as a Teacher of Performing Arts as well as of Creative Digital Media, Media Studies and Film.
I have recently been training with
Theatre Company in Comedy Improvisation
winning their annual “King of Comedy" award.
I offer high quality Audio work as well
private lessons in Voice, Acting and Public Speaking, focusing on a self confident delivery.
